Dr. Betty Brown

Dr. Betty Brown is a licensed psychologist specializing in work with adults, couples and groups. She received three degrees from the University of Houston including a Master of Education in Counseling and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology.

Dr. Brown was a counselor and psychologist on staff at the University of Houston and University of Houston-Clear Lake for over eighteen years, and has been in private practice in the Clear Lake area for over ten years. She has also received training and provided services at the George E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and the Houston Area Women’s Center. Dr. Brown is an experienced and engaging speaker and currently teaches graduate classes at the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

Patients describe Dr. Brown as friendly, warm and genuinely caring. She possesses a calm and understanding manner, making it easy for clients to feel comfortable while challenging them to consider new perspectives and solutions in order to facilitate change.
