Psychology Resources is a full-service psychology practice offering individual, couples, and family therapy to children, teens, and adults. The practice was first established in 2001 and moved to the beautiful League City, Texas in 2008.

Christopher Beckley, PsyD

Dr. Beckley strives to create a safe and supportive environment to help adults and young adults of various backgrounds to feel empowered to achieve their desired changes. Jennifer Bissett, PhD

Dr. Bissett has trained at a wide variety of highly regarded institutions including Psychological Services at the University of Houston, the Pediatric Unit of MD Anderson Hospital, the Psychological Services Unit of the Houston Fire Department and the PIVOT Project. Cynthia Cook, PhD

Dr. Cook is a licensed Psychologist specializing in work with adults, couples, and groups. She is an honors graduate from Kansas State University. Brian Kline, PhD

Dr. Brian Kline works with adults and young adults and has expertise helping those with concerns about relationships, depression, anxiety (generalized, social, panic), trauma, career development, and identity development (gender, sexual, and racial/ethnicity identity development). He graduated with honors from State University of New York, Buffalo State College, and he earned his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York.

Sharla Marek, PhD

Dr. Sharla Marek is a counseling psychologist who specializes in work with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Marek completed her PhD in Counseling Psychology in 2002 from the University of Houston.

Sherly Medina-Rivera, PsyD

Dr. Medina-Rivera works with children, parents, and/or caregivers, focusing on treating trauma or exposure to adverse experiences including but not limited to stress, anxiety, mood disorders, behavioral disorders, ADHD and life transitions.  She completed her Master’s in Counseling Psychology at the Universidad Ana G. Méndez and earned her Master’s and Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from the Universidad Albizu. The variety and diversity of Dr. Medina-Rivera’s experiences have allowed her to be mindful, sensitive, and flexible in adapting, integrating, and customizing intervention plans according to the individual needs of her patients.

Nicholas Oleen-Junk, PhD

Dr. Oleen-Junk completed his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he trained in forensic psychology, college student mental health, and multicultural counseling. After finishing his clinical internship at the University of Minnesota’s student counseling center, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he provided individual, couple, and group counseling to health science students and young medical professionals. Prior to relocating to Houston, Dr. Oleen-Junk served as a Staff Psychologist at Tulane University’s student counseling center in New Orleans.

Lela Pickett, PhD

Dr. Lela Pickett strongly believes that the core of her work is cultivating a safe and collaborative space for her clients. She has expertise in trauma work, multicultural counseling, anxiety, depression, identity development, LGBTQ+, and relationships primarily working with adults 18 years and older.

Anitra Quinn, PhD

Trained as a school psychologist, Dr. Anitra Quinn completed her PhD at Mississippi State University (MSU). She also holds a Master of Science degree in School Psychology (MSU) & a Master of Arts in Gerontology from the University of Louisiana, Monroe. George Scott, PhD

Dr. Scott is a provisionally licensed psychologist with experience in treating adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients in acute care, community mental health, and private practice settings. His clinical expertise is in helping clients with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, grief, trauma, psychosis, neurocognitive disorders, and medically complex clients with co-occurring psychological disorders. Dr. Scott is certified in and implement Cognitive Therapy, Solution-Focused, DBT skills, and STAIR, approaches. As your therapist, you can expect him to meet you where you are, treat you graciously, and challenge you to become the best version of yourself.
